Corporate Profile
Background in public speaking Dr
Bergamo is an experienced facilitator and presenter. The craft of learning
public speaking began in 1996 when he was working in a satellite medical
clinic in Cobar as a chiropractor. The medical doctor managing the clinic – Dr
Rick Alterator – passed onto Dr Bergamo different pearls of advice.
Dr Alterator’s biggest piece of wisdom was that: "if you want to communicate
well one to one to your patients, publicly speak in front of hundreds and go on
local community radio to a listening audience of thousands." Thus Dr
Alterator advised Dr Bergamo to join Toastmasters in Dubbo and speak at a
local community radio station in Cobar. Dr Bergamo completed his CTM or competent
toastmasters in 1996 and completed some guest appearances on the local radio
station in Cobar. Later, in 1999, Dr Bergamo worked on Melbourne community radio station of the hills – 97.1 FM 3MDR
co-hosting seven shows discussing: chiropractic and its relationship to back
care, nutrition and health promotion.
His current public speaking schedule has been diverse.
In a general public forumDr Bergamo has presented a number of
different seminars at his Boronia clinic with the following topics:
"Cancer prevention & nutrition – how to avoid cancer naturally."
"Fibre – a key food to keep you healthy in multiple ways."
"Blood pressure – keeping blood pressure down naturally."
"Weight management – the no gimmick approach to weight control."
"Planning for the future – dream fulfillment."
In 2004, Dr Bergamo conducted a three hour seminar at the Beachhouse Fitness Chain on
the topic of "Nutrition for Life". This was presented to clients of the gym and
personal trainers, about the importance of nutrition and how to maintain a healthy
lifestyle. Throughout the talk, there were user friendly and practical tips
to start making changes now.

In an academic forum From 1999 to 2003, Dr
Bergamo has been invited
by the chiropractic teaching college at RMIT University, Bundoora to present
case reports. Dr Bergamo's topic area refers to his special interest in
nutrition to final year chiropractic students. In 2003, Dr Bergamo was asked
by the Head of Division of Chiropractic - Dr Ebrall - to lecture two nutrition
subjects. This has grown to five subjects within a year and a half. Three of
these subjects are nutrition based – basic nutrition, lifespan nutrition and
clinical nutrition. The fourth subject is on public health and the final
subject is on teaching students to effectively public speak.

on a number of occasions. He has spoken three times between 1998 & 2004, at
