WHAT ARE THEY?
The seminars are group management programs offered by Dr Bergamo and or staff
within the centre or to experts who are subcontracted in.
WHAT WE HAVE DONE IN THE PAST
There has been a variety of topics that have been presented. These include
back education (facilitated by one of our chiropractors) and explanation of
how paediatric chiropractic works to Knox maternal health nurses (by one of
our paediatric chiropractors - Dr Braden Keil and/or Dr Paul Chamberlain).
With regards health promotion, subjects have included stress
management (facilitated by a psychologist), better understanding of breast
cancer (facilitated by a breast screen presenter - Alison Jones from
BreastScreen Maroondah) and cancer prevention (facilitated by our clinical nutritionist
- Paul Bergamo). We have even run a seminar on financial health (facilitated
by an accountant and financial planner - Frank Roche (CFP, CPA, JP)).
One of the most recent seminars was presented by Dr Tim Crowe. Tim has a PhD and is a medical
scientist, dietician, Deakin university lecturer and media commentator.
Tim’s topic was on practical advice to curb heart disease and obesity. This
lecture was booked out and our feedback survey revealed the following
comments:

"Helped dispel fiction and told me facts I need to know."
